The youth department provides a roomy, attractive area for our teens. Dubbed "The LOFT (Love Others For Themselves)," it offers air hockey, ping pong, pool, darts, and Wii games.

February 2nd was a special Sunday for Westview. Our youth and their leaders gave their testimony regarding their experiences at the Strength to Stand Conference in January (see next paragraph). Two youth recommitted their lives to Christ! Jason Green, one of the dads, spoke at length on how deeply he was affected. At the conclusion, church members prayed over the youth and promised to support them in their struggles. To hear their entire "testimony time," just click on the picture.
FYI - They hosted a Breakfast the first Sunday of the month to raise money to attend youth conferences, cooking and serving the church family (great food!). Car washes were another money raiser. Westview is proud to support our youth! |

Our youth once again attended "Strength to Stand", January 18-20, at Pigeon Forge, returning home renewed in spirit and faith. They were also very glad to get home where the weather was a bit warmer! All the pictures can be found in this album.

In spite of the high temperatures, our group of youth and young adults traveled to Verbena for enFuego on August 24th. Lots of people and lots of great music. Looks like everyone had a good time! See more pictures here on Flickr.

Our youth and youth leaders were so impressed after attending the Motion Conference in Birmingham July 25-27, they made reservations for next year before they left! The music, the classes, even the food got rave reviews. On Sunday they witnessed for God to our church family. There are more photos!

The Youth held a Car Wash on July 20 to raise funds for their upcoming trip to "Motion". Some vehicles were more of a challenge than others! Many thanks to Advanced Auto Parts for allowing our teens to use their premises.

Seven of the youth attended Motion X in Birmingham July 26-28. On Sunday morning, the 29th, they witnessed to the church how much the conference inspired them and has changed their lives. Two of our young men gave their lives to Christ. The adults who attended could only say it was amazing to watch so many young people worshiping God! What an awesome service they gave us this morning!
